At the national level, Japan’s digital transformation has often been slower than many expect. This is, in part, a consequence of Japan’s own strength: highly developed, deeply entrenched administrative systems built well before the digital era — systems that work reliably, but are correspondingly difficult to replace.
Outside central government, however, DX is advancing rapidly, driven by private companies and local governments alike. This is especially visible in agriculture, supply chain management, and smart city development, where large corporations and startups alike are pursuing a wide range of new initiatives. Many of these efforts point toward decentralization — offering a genuine alternative to the concentration of people, resources, and activity in major urban centers.
Our Approach
ABITAD is a newly established company, and we are still building our own track record as an organization. At the same time, our team brings hands-on professional experience — developed prior to founding ABITAD — in designing and delivering training related to digital transformation, including agriculture DX, supply chain DX, and smart city initiatives.
